Bad Homburg vor der Höhe is the most expensive of the major residential areas, with prices well above the regional average, while Frankfurt and Wiesbaden are also highly priced. Darmstadt and Niedernhausen represent mid-range options, whereas Giessen is one of the more affordable towns in the state.
