Schwalm-Eder-Kreis is a rural district in the northern part of the German state of Hesse. This landlocked region shares its borders with several other Hessian districts, including Landkreis Kassel to the north, Werra-Meißner-Kreis to the east, and Waldeck-Frankenberg to the west.
