The Region of Trnava is an administrative region of western Slovakia, stretching from the Danube in the south to the borders with Austria, the Czech Republic, and Hungary. The terrain rises from the fertile Danubian Lowland to the Little Carpathians, where Záruby forms the highest point of the region. It shares borders with the Bratislava Region, the Nitra Region, and the Trenčín Region, alongside its international frontiers with Lower Austria, the South Moravian Region, and Győr-Moson-Sopron County.
Living in the Region of Trnava is generally cheaper than the Slovakian average. The regional capital, Trnava, holds the largest share of the housing stock by a wide margin, followed by Dunajská Streda and the spa town of Piešťany. Property prices vary significantly across these urban centres. While Hviezdoslavov and Šamorín are the most expensive places to buy a home, Dunajská Streda, Galanta, and Senica offer much more affordable housing, with prices sitting well below the regional average.
