The Region of Košice is an administrative region in eastern Slovakia, rising to its highest point at Stolica. The territory shares international borders with Hungary to the south, specifically Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County and Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County, and Ukraine to the east at Zakarpattia Oblast. Domestically, it borders the Prešov Region and the Banská Bystrica Region.
Property in the Region of Košice is generally cheaper than the Slovakian national average. Most of the regional housing stock is concentrated in the city of Košice itself, where prices are higher than the regional average. Outside the main city, the secondary markets of Michalovce and Spišská Nová Ves offer significantly cheaper housing. The most expensive homes in the region are found in Čaňa and Herľany, where prices rise well above those in the regional capital. Conversely, the most affordable properties are located in Rožňava and Veľké Kapušany, where homes cost a fraction of the prices commanded in Košice.
