Bragança is a district of Portugal located in the far northeast of the country. It shares borders with the Portuguese districts of Vila Real, Viseu, and Guarda, as well as the Spanish provinces of Ourense, Zamora Province, and Province of Salamanca.
Property in this region is cheap compared to the rest of Portugal. The city of Bragança holds the largest share of the housing stock, far more than anywhere else in the district. Mirandela has the next largest concentration of homes and stands out as the most expensive town to buy property in the region, with prices far higher than the regional average. Torre de Moncorvo and Mogadouro also sit above the regional average, while Miranda do Douro holds a similar share of the housing market but is by far the cheapest of the main towns.
