Gironès is an inland comarca of Catalonia, situated in the northeast of Spain within the Girona province. It covers an area of 576 square kilometres and shares its borders with the neighbouring comarcas of Alt Empordà, Baix Empordà, Selva, Garrotxa, and Pla de l'Estany.
The housing market in Gironès is generally cheaper than the average for Spain, though prices vary significantly between its municipalities. Most of the region's housing is concentrated in the city of Girona, which holds far more of the market than anywhere else. Salt contains the next largest share of homes, where prices are exceptionally low and stand at less than half the regional average. In contrast, smaller municipalities like Vilablareix and Quart are the most expensive places to buy in the comarca, with Llagostera also commanding premium prices well above those found in the provincial capital.
