Castile-La Mancha is an autonomous community of Spain, situated in the centre of the country. This expansive, elevated region sits on a high plateau, rising to its highest point at Pico del Lobo. It shares borders with seven other Spanish regions, including the Community of Madrid, Andalusia, and the Valencian Community. The region is served by Albacete Airport and is home to the CRE-UCLM university.
On the property market, Castile-La Mancha is a very cheap part of Spain, with average prices sitting at less than half the national average. Albacete holds the largest share of the housing stock, followed by Ciudad Real, while other towns have much smaller property markets. Toledo is the most expensive city in the region, with Guadalajara and Albacete also commanding prices well above the regional average. By contrast, Puertollano is the cheapest of the main towns, with housing costing a fraction of what buyers pay in Toledo.
