The Region of Prešov is an administrative region of Slovakia, situated in the north-eastern part of the country. It shares international borders with the Lesser Poland Voivodeship and Podkarpackie Voivodeship of Poland to the north, and the Zakarpattia Oblast of Ukraine to the east. Dominated by mountainous terrain, the region contains Gerlachovský štít, the highest peak in Slovakia.
Real estate in the Region of Prešov is generally cheap compared to the Slovakian average. Most of the housing stock is concentrated in the cities of Prešov and Poprad, with Prešov holding the largest share. Prices vary significantly across the region. The resort town of Vysoké Tatry and the village of Štôla are the most expensive locations, with prices well above the regional average. Conversely, the smaller town of Humenné is much more affordable, while Medzilaborce is exceptionally cheap, costing only a tiny fraction of what buyers pay in the major cities or mountain resorts.
