The Region of Nitra is an administrative territory in southwestern Slovakia, bordering the Hungarian counties of Pest, Komárom-Esztergom, Győr-Moson-Sopron, and Nógrád, as well as the Slovak regions of Banská Bystrica, Trenčín, and Trnava. The terrain rises from the fertile Danubian Lowland in the south to its highest point at Panská Javorina in the north.
Property in the Region of Nitra is generally cheap compared to the Slovak average, though prices vary significantly between its urban centres. The city of Nitra holds far more of the housing stock than any other municipality and is by far the most expensive place to buy. The remaining homes are spread across smaller, more affordable working towns. Among these, Komárno, Nové Zámky, and Levice contain modest shares of the regional market, with Komárno standing out as a particularly inexpensive option for buyers.
