The Region of Bratislava is an administrative division of Slovakia, situated in the far west of the country where it shares international borders with Lower Austria, Burgenland, and Győr-Moson-Sopron County, as well as a domestic border with the Trnava Region. The terrain rises to its highest point at Vysoká.
This is a expensive part of Slovakia, with property prices sitting well above the national average. The vast majority of the housing stock is concentrated in the city of Bratislava itself, which is also the most expensive place to buy a home in the region. The surrounding towns hold only tiny fractions of the market by comparison. Among these smaller markets, Miloslavov is the dearest, with prices close to those of the capital, while Pezinok, Stupava, and Senec offer slightly more affordable alternatives, and Malacky stands as the cheapest of the main local towns.
