Vosges is a department in the east of France, sitting within the Grand Est region. The terrain is defined by the mountain range that gives the department its name, rising to its highest point at Hohneck. Vosges shares borders with several other departments, including Meurthe-et-Moselle, Bas-Rhin, and Haute-Saône.
Property buyers will find Vosges cheap compared to the rest of France. Épinal holds the largest share of the housing stock, with Sainte-Marguerite also containing a significant portion of the region's homes. Prices vary considerably between the towns. Le Tholy is by far the most expensive place to buy, with prices sitting well above the regional average. In contrast, Neufchâteau is much more affordable, with prices falling far below those found in Épinal or Saint-Dié-des-Vosges.
