Property in Moselle is generally cheap compared to the French national average. The regional housing stock concentrates heavily in Metz, which holds far more of the market than any other municipality. Thionville has the next largest share of homes, while smaller communes like Maizières-lès-Metz, Montigny-lès-Metz, and Hettange-Grande are the most expensive places to buy. By contrast, Forbach has a much smaller share of the local market and stands out as a significantly cheaper option for buyers.
