Eure-et-Loir is a department of France situated within the Centre-Val de Loire region. This landlocked territory in the north-central part of the country shares its borders with the departments of Eure, Yvelines, Essonne, Loiret, Loir-et-Cher, Sarthe, and Orne.
The housing market of Eure-et-Loir is generally cheap compared to the rest of France. Most of the residential properties in the department are concentrated in Chartres, which is far larger than any other local market and has prices that align with the regional average. Other towns hold only small fractions of the housing stock. Lucé is the next largest market, where homes are significantly cheaper than in Chartres. Vernouillet and Mainvilliers also offer more affordable options, while the small market of Maintenon stands out as the most expensive town in the department.
