Jura is a department of France situated within the Bourgogne, Franche-Comté region. It shares a border with the French departments of Saône-et-Loire, Côte-d’Or, Haute-Saône, Doubs, and Ain, as well as the Swiss Canton of Vaud. Tavaux stands out as the most expensive of the main residential areas, with prices sitting above the departmental average, whereas Saint-Claude, located further into the mountainous terrain, is a much cheaper option where homes cost significantly less than in the larger towns.
