Chenôve is a French commune located in the Côte-d’Or department, within the eastern region of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. Situated at an elevation of 238 metres, this suburban city sits immediately south of Dijon. Its local economy and identity are closely tied to its position within the historic Burgundy wine region, and the municipality maintains international connections through its twin towns of Limburgerhof in Germany and Parabiago in Italy.
The residential layout of Chenôve is divided between its historic core and its modern extensions. The old town, Chenôve Vieux, lies to the west against the wine-producing hillsides and contains the most expensive properties. In contrast, the eastern districts closer to the Dijon metropolitan area hold most of the housing stock, dominated by post-war apartment blocks and denser residential estates. Housing prices in these urbanised sectors remain lower than in the historic centre and are generally affordable compared to the national average for French urban areas.
