Liezen District is an administrative district of Austria, situated in the northern part of the Styria region. It is a large, mountainous territory that shares borders with several neighbouring districts, including Murau District, Murtal District, and Gmunden District.
The housing market in Liezen District is slightly cheaper than the Austrian average, though prices vary significantly between its towns. Schladming holds the largest share of the housing stock and is by far the most expensive town in the district. Other notable concentrations of housing are found in Bad Aussee, Gröbming, and Bad Mitterndorf, where prices sit closer to the regional average. In contrast, the town of Liezen itself and nearby Rottenmann hold smaller shares of the market and are much cheaper, with property prices there costing a fraction of what buyers pay in Schladming.
