Hartberg-Fürstenfeld District is an administrative district of Austria, located in the eastern part of the Styria region. It covers an area of over twelve hundred square kilometres, sharing its borders with several neighbouring districts including Weiz District, Südoststeiermark District, and Oberwart District.
The local housing market is relatively cheap compared to the rest of Austria. Most of the housing stock is concentrated in the towns of Fürstenfeld and Hartberg, which are also among the more expensive locations in the district. Outside these two main hubs, property prices vary significantly between the smaller municipalities. Bad Loipersdorf and Bad Waltersdorf are the dearest places to buy a home, with prices sitting well above the regional average. Conversely, buyers find much lower prices in the smaller towns, with Pinggau being the cheapest option in the district, where homes cost a fraction of what they do in the most expensive resort towns.
