Seixal is a Portuguese municipality situated in the Setúbal region, lying along the south bank of the Tagus River estuary across from Lisbon. The city is built around a bay, with its terrain shaped by the tidal inlets of the river. Historically tied to maritime industries and shipbuilding, Seixal has grown into a major residential and economic hub within the Lisbon metropolitan area.
The local housing market is slightly more expensive than the Portuguese national average, with distinct price differences between its main parishes. Corroios holds the largest share of the housing stock and stands as the most expensive area to buy a home. Fernão Ferro, located further inland, also contains a substantial portion of the local housing at prices close to the city average. In contrast, the waterfront parish of Amora offers a large volume of more affordable housing, while Arrentela and Aldeia de Paio Pires are the cheapest districts in the municipality.
