Gondomar is a Portuguese city located within the Porto region in the north of the country. Situated along the Douro River, this municipality of Portugal covers an area of 132 square kilometres. The city is a major residential and economic hub within the larger Porto metropolitan area, and it maintains international ties through its twinning with the French commune of Feyzin.
