The Province of Lucca is an administrative province of Italy, situated in the northern part of the Tuscany region. It shares borders with several other provinces, including the Province of Massa-Carrara, the Province of Reggio Emilia, the Province of Modena, the Province of Pistoia, the Metropolitan City of Florence, and the Province of Pisa.
This province is a particularly expensive part of Italy, with property prices sitting far above the national average. Most of the housing stock in the province is concentrated in the coastal resort town of Forte dei Marmi, which is by far the dearest place to buy property in the region. The city of Lucca itself holds the next largest share of housing, followed by Viareggio and Pietrasanta. While Pietrasanta remains highly priced, homes in Lucca, Viareggio, and the inland municipality of Capannori are significantly cheaper, costing a fraction of the prices commanded in Forte dei Marmi.
