Vigo is a comarca of Galicia, located in the Pontevedra Province of northwestern Spain. The region is situated along the Atlantic coast, defined by its coastal terrain and the inlets of the Rías Baixas.
The housing market in this region is generally cheaper than the Spanish average, though prices vary significantly between municipalities. The vast majority of the housing stock is concentrated in the city of Vigo itself, where prices sit close to the regional average. Outside the main city, the coastal towns of Nigrán and Baiona are the most expensive places to buy property, with prices in Nigrán rising far above those found anywhere else in the comarca. In contrast, inland municipalities such as O Porriño and Redondela offer much more affordable housing, holding only small shares of the local market.
