Cáceres Province is an administrative province of Spain, located in the northern part of the Extremadura region. It shares an international border with Portugal to its west, specifically bordering the districts of Portalegre, Castelo Branco, and Guarda. Within Spain, the province is bordered by the provinces of Salamanca, Ávila, Toledo, and Badajoz. The terrain rises to its highest point at the peak of La Covacha.
The province is a cheap part of Spain to buy property, with average prices well below the national average. Most of the housing stock is concentrated in the provincial capital of Cáceres, which is also the most expensive place to buy a home in the region. Plasencia holds the next largest share of the housing market, though it remains a long way behind the capital in size. Smaller towns like Navalmoral de la Mata and Trujillo hold only a tiny sliver of the local market, with prices in Navalmoral de la Mata falling well below those found in the capital.
