Tarragonès is a coastal comarca of Catalonia, situated in the province of Tarragona along the Mediterranean Sea in northeastern Spain. It shares land borders with the neighbouring comarcas of Alt Camp, Baix Camp, and Baix Penedès. The terrain of this administrative division is shaped by its coastal position and its immediate hinterland.
The provincial capital of Tarragona holds the largest share of the region's housing stock, far more than any other municipality, and has property prices that sit below the regional average. Salou and Torredembarra are the next largest housing markets, both of which are more expensive than Tarragona itself. Roda de Berà is the most expensive place to buy in the comarca, with prices far exceeding the regional average, while Constantí is the cheapest. Overall, Tarragonès is a relatively inexpensive part of Spain, with average property prices sitting well below the national average.
