Vallès Occidental is a comarca of Catalonia, situated in the Barcelona Province of northeastern Spain. The region lies inland, bordering the comarques of Vallès Oriental, Barcelonès, Baix Llobregat, Bages, and Moianès.
The housing market is concentrated in the two major cities of Sabadell and Terrassa, which together hold most of the region's homes. Rubí and Sant Cugat del Vallès also contain notable portions of the local housing stock. Prices across Vallès Occidental are generally lower than the national average for Spain, but costs vary dramatically between individual municipalities. Sant Cugat del Vallès and Ripollet are the most expensive places to buy property in the region, with prices that far exceed those of the major urban centres. By contrast, Sabadell and Terrassa offer much more affordable housing options, with prices sitting well below the regional average.
