Garraf is a coastal comarca of Catalonia, situated within the Barcelona Province of Spain. This small, mountainous region is defined by the limestone hills of the Garraf Massif, which meet the Mediterranean Sea to form a rugged coastline. It shares borders with the neighbouring comarques of Alt Penedès, Baix Penedès, and Baix Llobregat.
The housing market in Garraf is significantly more expensive than the average for Spain, though prices vary dramatically between its main towns. Most of the housing is concentrated in Vilanova i la Geltrú, Sitges, and Sant Pere de Ribes. Sitges is by far the most expensive town in the region, with property prices soaring well above the regional average. In contrast, Vilanova i la Geltrú holds an equal share of the housing stock but is much more affordable, with prices sitting far below those of its coastal neighbour. Sant Pere de Ribes offers a mid-priced alternative, while the smaller inland municipalities of Canyelles and Olivella hold only a tiny fraction of the market.
