Bages is an inland comarca of Catalonia, situated in the Barcelona Province of northeastern Spain. The region is defined by its rugged terrain, rising to its highest point at the peak of Sant Jeroni. It shares borders with several neighbouring comarcas, including Anoia, Solsonès, Berguedà, and Moianès.
Property buyers in Bages will find that the region is cheap compared to the rest of Spain. Most of the housing stock is concentrated in Manresa, which holds far more of the market than anywhere else in the comarca. Prices vary significantly between the individual towns. While Manresa sits below the regional average, smaller towns like Santpedor and Sant Fruitós de Bages are the expensive options, costing about twice as much as properties in Sallent, which is one of the cheaper locations in the area.
