Campo de Cartagena is a comarca of Spain, situated within the Region of Murcia. This flat coastal plain sits in the southeastern corner of the country, defined by its low elevation and its long Mediterranean coastline. The region is bordered by the Mediterranean Sea and includes the saltwater lagoon of the Mar Menor.
The housing market is concentrated in a few key municipalities, with overall property prices sitting slightly below the Spanish national average. Cartagena holds the largest share of the region's housing stock and stands out as the most expensive city to buy property. The coastal towns of San Pedro del Pinatar, Los Alcázares, and San Javier account for most of the remaining homes, offering more affordable options along the lagoon. Inland, Torre-Pacheco provides mid-priced housing, while the smaller municipalities of Fuente Álamo de Murcia and La Unión are the cheapest places to buy in the region, with La Unión being particularly inexpensive.
