Gelderland is a province of the Netherlands, situated in the eastern part of the country. It shares a border with the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia, as well as the Dutch provinces of Flevoland, Overijssel, North Brabant, Limburg, Utrecht, and South Holland. The highest point in the province is Signaal Imbosch.
Housing in Gelderland costs about the same as the average for the Netherlands. Nijmegen and Arnhem hold the largest portions of the housing stock, followed closely by Apeldoorn and Ede. Prices vary across these main urban centres, with Arnhem being the most affordable of the major cities. Harderwijk, West Betuwe, and Wageningen hold much smaller shares of the provincial housing market, but homes in these areas are more expensive than those in the larger cities. Zevenaar offers some of the most affordable housing in the province, with prices sitting well below the regional average.
