Baranya is a county in the Southern Transdanubia region of southern Hungary, bordering the counties of Somogy, Tolna, and Bács-Kiskun, as well as Osijek-Baranja County across the border in Croatia. The region is defined by its southern border location and its varied terrain.
The housing market in Baranya is slightly cheaper than the Hungarian national average, with the vast majority of its homes concentrated in the city of Pécs. Beyond this central hub, the property market is small and fragmented. Prices vary significantly between the secondary towns. Kozármisleny and Mohács are the most expensive locations for property, with prices sitting well above the regional average. In contrast, the smaller towns of Komló and Harkány hold only a tiny fraction of the county's housing and are far more affordable, with prices falling well below those found in Pécs.
