Barnim District is a rural district in the German state of Brandenburg. Situated in the northeastern part of the country, it shares a southern border with the capital city of Berlin, while also bordering Uckermark District, Oberhavel District, and Märkisch-Oderland District. The terrain is generally low-lying, sitting at an elevation of just 32 metres.
Property prices across Barnim District are very close to the average for Germany as a whole, though costs vary significantly between its main municipalities. Wandlitz holds the largest share of the housing stock, followed by Bernau bei Berlin and Eberswalde. Buyers will find that Eberswalde is the most expensive of these major hubs, with prices sitting well above the regional average. Wandlitz is also a relatively dear option, whereas Bernau bei Berlin offers a much more affordable market, with prices falling far below those found in the rest of the district.
