Kufstein District is an administrative district of Austria, situated in the northeastern part of the Tyrol region. The district covers an area of 970 square kilometres and shares its northern border with Germany, specifically bordering the Bavarian districts of Miesbach, Rosenheim, and Traunstein. To the south and west, it borders the Tyrolean districts of Kitzbühel and Schwaz.
Property in Kufstein District is expensive, with average sale prices sitting well above the national average for Austria. The housing stock is distributed across several key towns, with Kufstein and Ellmau holding the largest shares. Ellmau is by far the most expensive place to buy a home in the district, with prices reaching several times those found in the administrative seat of Kufstein. Wörgl also holds a notable portion of the local housing, though like Kufstein, its property prices are much lower than the regional average. Söll represents a mid-priced alternative, where homes are more expensive than in the working towns of Wörgl, Kirchbichl, and Bad Häring.
