Huerta, also known as Huerta de Murcia, is a comarca of Spain located within the Region of Murcia. This administrative division sits in the southeastern part of the country, defined by the fertile river valley from which it takes its name.
The vast majority of the housing in this region is concentrated in the city of Murcia, which holds far more of the market than anywhere else. The remaining homes are scattered across much smaller towns, with Alcantarilla, Santomera, and Beniel together making up only a tiny sliver of the local market. Murcia is also the most expensive place to buy property in the comarca, while prices in the outlying towns of Alcantarilla, Santomera, and Beniel are significantly lower. Overall, Huerta is a cheap part of Spain, with average property prices sitting well below the national average.
