Namur is a province of Belgium located in the Wallonia region, bordering France to the south and several Belgian provinces including Hainaut and Walloon Brabant. Its terrain rises toward the south, reaching its highest point at Croix Scaille in the Ardennes forest. The province is defined by this transition from rolling northern plains to the forested hills and deep river valleys of the Ardennes highland.
The local housing market is generally cheaper than the Belgian average. Most of the housing stock is concentrated in the provincial capital of Namur, where prices sit slightly above the regional average. Outside the capital, prices vary significantly between the towns. Gembloux and Ciney are among the more expensive locations, while Dinant is the dearest town in the province. In contrast, Hastière is the cheapest place to buy, with prices falling to less than half of what is typical for the region.
