The Arrondissement of Hasselt is an administrative district located in the Limburg province of the Flanders region in northern Belgium. It covers an area of low-lying terrain, sitting at an average elevation of just over forty metres, and shares its eastern border with the Arrondissement of Maaseik.
The city of Hasselt holds far more of the region's housing stock than any other municipality, and it is also the most expensive place to buy a home in the district. Sint-Truiden, Genk, and Beringen also contain significant portions of the local housing, though property prices in these three cities sit below the regional average. Leopoldsburg represents the cheapest market in the area, with prices falling a long way behind the rest of the arrondissement. Overall, buying a home in the Arrondissement of Hasselt is slightly cheaper than the average for Belgium as a whole.
