By placing two volumes at the Kerkplein square and one volume at the Desiree Geeraertstraat street, the street scene is beautifully completed and a quiet courtyard is created. The characteristic urban design of the border village of Baarle-Nassau is reflected in the volume of the construction on the location at the church square. The volume follows the border, which was once drawn directly along the then-existing buildings. This creates two volumes, with the glass staircase serving as a connecting element, providing access to the apartments and the courtyard. To ensure that the construction blends in with the surroundings, complementing the monumental buildings on the Singel canal, a traditional style with rich detailing and overhangs was chosen, but by applying recessed roof dormers and a modern glass staircase, the project can still be distinguished as a contemporary project.

Heating Each apartment will be equipped with an individual heat pump system with its own outdoor and indoor unit for hot water supply. All apartments are equipped with low-temperature underfloor heating, as well as cooling. Electric design towel radiators will be installed in the bathrooms. The temperature can be controlled by a room thermostat in the living room, with the possibility of after-regulation in the bedroom(s). In addition to underfloor heating, the ventilation in the apartments ensures an excellent indoor climate. Each apartment will be equipped with an individual balanced ventilation system with heat recovery (HRV). Clean air from outside is supplied mechanically to the apartments and the polluted air is extracted. With the HRV system, the outgoing warm air releases its heat to the incoming cold outside air. In this way, a very efficient system is created in which heating takes place with existing heat, which saves energy.

Thanks to the sustainable heat generation and excellent insulation, a better environment is contributed and this energy label can be achieved.
