Our beautiful place still brings a smile to our faces. There is so much flora and fauna here. Seeing the deer, pheasants, sometimes a hare, ducks in the pond and a barn owl as a frequent visitor remain gifts. In the autumn, we compete with the squirrels over the walnut harvest.

We came here for the peace and space, the wonderful free view and the hobbying in the garden. Deliciously harvesting from the vegetable garden and greenhouse. Being outdoors (busy) is so rewarding and makes you happy. Just sitting on the many seating areas to quietly look around and see even more. And in the meantime, the robot mower makes beautiful patterns in the grass. That way we have time for other things.

INFO VALTHE AND SURROUNDINGS Village and surroundings: The (fortress) village of Valthe is located on the edge of the Hondsrug, in the municipality of Borger-Odoorn and has approximately 1,250 inhabitants. A little further on in the village (junction Exloërweg/Valtherdijk) a historically defensive building has recently been restored: the Valtherschans, with the aim of making it a meeting place for residents and visitors. In addition to an active club life, the village has, among other things, a primary school, childcare, community center, a bakery, various sports clubs, a pizzeria, grand café and a cozy restaurant with a culinary experience.
